A Good Indication for 2008?

My clients in Sonoma county performed a final walk through yesterday on the house which will be closing today.  I met them at their new home in Petaluma and they gave me the cashier's check for funding to be delivered to the title company in Novato.

Stopped by and gave the checks to the escrow officer at Cal Land Title.  I made a comment about how many files she had on her desk.  Her reply was that this is the best month they have in the last 8 months.

Very encouraging news.  I have noticed that some Marin sellers with unrealistic pricing pulled their houses off the market because they don't need to sell, the supply of homes went down a bit, and activities on our house sales board picked up during the last month (December).  My own home buyers are taking a much active roles in looking at properties and asking me about how the market is going and if this is a good time to buy a home in Marin (yes, if  you found the right property for the right price at the right location).

Hope this is a good sign for the New Year for All!

Well lets hope that this is a positive trend. I feel that a lot of my clients have been waiting for the new year to move forward.

I am forever optimistic and I am glad Steve also feels the same.  The owner of our company said that our sales was down a bit over 2% during 2007, which is quite encouraging as we are the number one and a very large independent company in Marin, so the statistics is more telling than a small office/company.

Keep our fingers crossed for a better 2008!
